The
stage has been set up for two Asian giants to take on each other. While the Indian
team are clear favourites to win the tournament, Bangladesh have always been
known as ‘giant killers’. So who will be crowned the Asian King? Will India’s
dream run continue or will it come to a halt against Bangladesh? Will
Bangladesh emerge as winners in their own backyard? All these questions will be
answered on Sunday, when the two teams meet for the summit clash. But before
the game begin, let us analyse the strength and weakness of each team and weigh
them on the balancing scale.
Team India:
Possible Playing XI: S Dhawan, RG Sharma, V Kohli, S
Raina, Y Singh, MS Dhoni, H Pandya, R Jadeja, R Ashwin, J Bumrah, A Nehra.
Strengths:
1) Rohit Sharma is in his form of life. He is having a dream run since the Australian tour;
2) Virat Kohli has emerged as the most consistent performer for the Indian team over the years and he gives great solidity to the batting line-up;
3) Yuvraj has regained his vintage form and shown us what a destructive performer he can be when he gets going against the UAE and Sri Lanka;
4) Nehra and Bumrah has emerged as the leaders of the bowling line-up, which till date has shown inconsistencies;
5) Captain Cool has regained his midas-touch and has total control of things on and off the field.
